Government opens nominations for 2025 e-Governance Awards

New Delhi: The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has issued a call for nominations for the National Awards for e-Governance 2025, aiming to recognize and promote excellence in the implementation of digital governance initiatives across the country.

The awards, presented annually by the Government of India, honor outstanding contributions in e-governance from a diverse range of entities, including District Administrations, Local Bodies, Panchayats, Central Ministries/Departments, State PSUs, State Universities, and Government/Non-Government Research Institutions, as well as innovative Startups. Nominees will be evaluated based on criteria outlined in the Award Scheme, with seven categories up for consideration.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), under the Ministry, emphasized that the initiative seeks to highlight transformative digital projects that enhance public service delivery and administrative efficiency. "With a view to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives, the Government of India presents National Awards for e-Governance every year," the notice stated.

Interested parties are encouraged to review the detailed guidelines and scheme available on the DARPG website at www.darpg.gov.in and the NeGP portal at www.negp.gov.in. All nominations must be submitted online as per the specified details in the Award Scheme. Applications should be based on projects implemented from the base year, and any editing/changes will be permitted only until the last date of submission. Incomplete or late submissions will not be taken into cognizance.

The deadline for submissions is set for November 30, 2025. This year's awards continue a tradition of promoting innovation in e-governance, building on previous recognitions that have spotlighted groundbreaking digital solutions in public administration. Nominations are open to all qualifying entities nationwide, underscoring the government's commitment to a digitally empowered India.
