President of India interacts with leading women start-ups and unicorns

New Delhi: In a significant initiative under "The President with the People," President Droupadi Murmu engaged with a group of women founders and co-founders of prominent start-ups and unicorns at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The purpose of this meeting was to foster a deeper connection with the people and acknowledge their remarkable contributions.

Addressing the women entrepreneurs, the President highlighted their transformative impact on the Indian business landscape. Emphasizing the significance of the 'Start-up India' program in leveraging the potential of the youth and enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, she commended their invaluable contributions to its objectives. The President praised the innovative efforts of these entrepreneurs, citing India's current status as the world's third-largest start-up ecosystem, boasting around 1,17,000 start-ups and over 100 unicorns.

Describing the journey and achievements of these entrepreneurs as a source of inspiration, especially for women and youth, the President commended their diverse contributions—from tech start-ups to social enterprises. She emphasized that their impact extends beyond economic development, breaking traditional barriers and paving the way for empowerment in future generations. The President emphasized that they are architects of an inclusive economic future, where progress is determined by talent and ambition rather than gender.

Furthermore, the President highlighted that these women entrepreneurs are not just business leaders but heralds of change, serving as role models for millions of young women aspiring to progress and development. Urging them to identify other enterprising women and explore new avenues to support them on their empowerment journey, she envisioned a ripple effect of success stories emerging from every corner of the country. The President called for collective efforts to build an empowered India, where every woman, with confidence, pursues her dreams.
