New Delhi: On National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Prime Minister will take part in the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 on January 12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The event, scheduled for around 4:30 pm, will bring together nearly 3,000 young leaders from across the country, along with youth representatives from the international diaspora. Selected participants will present their ideas directly to the Prime Minister across ten thematic tracks, offering youth-led perspectives on key areas of national importance.

During the programme, the Prime Minister will release the Essay Compilation for Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, featuring selected essays written by young participants on India’s development priorities and long-term nation-building goals.

Now in its second edition, the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue serves as a national platform for structured engagement between young citizens and the country’s leadership. The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s Independence Day call to involve one lakh young people in politics without political affiliations and provide them with a national मंच to turn their ideas for Viksit Bharat into action.

The 2026 edition of the Dialogue, being held from January 9 to 12, has seen participation from more than 50 lakh youth across the country at different stages. Finalists attending the national-level championship have been selected through a three-stage, merit-based process that included a nationwide digital quiz, an essay challenge and state-level vision presentations.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s Dialogue introduces several new elements such as Design for Bharat, Tech for Viksit Bharat , Hack for a Social Cause, expanded thematic discussions and international participation for the first time, broadening the programme’s reach and impact.
